...pAiNt ThE tOwN...

Today's officially the second day of our sem break. *sigh* I wish for more lazy days like this.

I decided to paint my nails btw. My aunt thought I was crazy for choosing such a color combination. I thought it was SIZZLING.

Besides, with my nails painted in my favorite colors, I'd have more confidence to drive. (I'll be learning how to drive sometime this week. Wish me luck!)

Don't you just think they'll pass for a magazine ad? ;)

I am sooo in love with my nails. *thinks of candyland*

...iT pAyS tO bE a GEEK...

Okaaaay, let us all welcome the Player 2 Grand SCRABBLE Champ... *drum roll* MOI!! lol.

It pays to be word-wise, I tell you. lol. It pays to read a lot, and it pays to love the art of spelling. Haha.

Then again, I always end up joining the non-athletic events during the Intrams. When I was in freshman year, I was forced to join Ms. Intrams (I ended up 1st Runner-Up. lol.) because I had no other sport. Come soph year, I joined the Singing Contest. In junior year, I was excused from the activities because it was Subol day. This year was different. We had no choice but to play at least one sport or event to have a grade in PE. And I had no other option than to play scrabble.

But hey, look who's laughing now? ;)

Oh gosh! Btw, tomorrow's the UP Subol Quiz Show. Puh-leez pray for me and my teammates! I know, I am really losing hope coz of what happened in Palaris. Then again, I still believe in miracles.

...rAiSiNg ChEsCa...

I watched Raising Helen with my mom earlier. Helen works in a modeling agency.

*sigh*

I suddenly miss headquarters.

Btw, I asked my mom if I kicked a lot when I was still in her tummy. She said I did. That made her smile and say, "I love you, honey."

...cOnYo QuEeN??

I could not believe others' first impression about me is that I'm conyotic, too sosyal.

Can't they just see me for who I am? I'm not complicated. No need for decrypting. What you see is what you get. I'm really down-to-earth. PERIOD.

So what's the deal with the conyo thing?

...SwEeT tHiRtEeN...

Life has its own trippings. I swear by it.

Whoever thought a number so feared of for bringing bad luck would be the evidence of my academic salvation? lol.

Yes, 13 was my lucky number for today.

Exhibit A.
I was late for today's Filipino quiz. I was only left with eight minutes to finish the quiz. Guess what? I got 13 out of 15!

Exhibit B.
Another quiz. This time it was in Economics. And we all know that I got 2 out of 10 in my last quiz. lol. This quiz was harder though I knew by heart what was printed in our book. However, Mrs. Sim even added nine, eight questions based on current events. *Whew!* I'm proud to say I ended up with 13 over 20. And I was the highest. Yay! ^.^

That ought to boost my confidence for the next set of exams. Go Chesca!

Thirteen's not so bad anyway!

...a LiTtLe tRiBuTe...

There is only one Val who can draw out those boy-caused tears.

I had another magical moment with my (quasi-former) best friend this afternoon. Thank God Sir Jorge and the varsity boys had their practice that Val and I were given enough time for some girl talk.

She's the only person I could really open up to, besides Raph, about my true feelings. No pretensions. I just let the words flow. No filter, hate me or not. Then again with Raph I still hafta filter a few things from my past, but with Val... that girl knows too much. lol.

Newaiz, Val, if ever you get to read this, I just want you to know how happy I am everytime you're there for me. I will always miss you! Goodness, I dunno what to do without you! Take care of yourself always, sweetie! ^.^

There will never be another like this chick. I swear this to damnation. lol.

...a TrUe TeSt oF gUrL pOwEr...

Today was a busy one. It was one helluvan obstacle course. lol.

Exhibit A.
Our lame janitor named Manong Val harrassed me about not having a gate pass. I've always gone home for lunch and I just could not understand why he or Manong Guard can't remember I do. We argued for five minutes or so before he finally let me out. The debate got me so furious it got me so impatient that I went straight through the gate without even letting him finish.

Exhibit B.
Our quiz in Math was actually easy but there was this item that got me nauseated. After a lifetime of squeezing my brain juices, I finally gave in and passed the paper even if I hadn't finished it. Then again, I let one point from my score slip away. *sigh*

Exhibit C.
I barely got to study for the quiz in PE, which came after Math, because I had to study for the upcoming quiz bees. I'm quite sure that my score wouldn't be high. *sigh* To think my teammates for those quiz bees aren't studying for it. They're really getting on my nerves...

Then again, there's one thing that lifted my spirits. And I am undeniably happy because of that....

...I grew 1 cm taller in less than a month.

I'm proud to say I survived Hell Day #1. More Hell Days will come, yeah, but I know I'm getting tougher each day! ^.^

...TiMe tO gEt sOmE R&Rs...

I am 100% tired! lol. Good thing I left early last night.

Our trip to NSRI was the best! Even if I didn't get to ride with my friends on the way to Manila and back, I enjoyed spending time with my mom. And I guess that was what really mattered.

Don't get me wrong, I had so much fun at NSRI. I actually sensed a spark of hope for my seemingly impossible thesis. Sir Jay said my study was good. *winks*

We had lunch at the nearby caf. I can't believe UP has all sorts of people! There were fashionistas, indies, goths, guys sporting afros, etc! lol. I soooo wanna study there! :P

I really really had fun yesterday. I'll look back and think of yesterday's experience once in a while and I'm sure that'll always leave a big smile on my face.

...LaSt MiNuTe pLaNs...

I'm going to Manila tomorrow on such short notice. lol. We hafta go to NSRI in UP Diliman for our thesis consultation. And I can't believe my parents even agreed. Well, my mom will be going with us on the trip since she has a couple of appointments to attend too but she won't go with us to UP. Nevertheless, my friends are still too shy to hitch with us that's why they rented a van of their own. Just great.

I'm pretty pissed with that fact if you ask me. I want to strangle every inch of Alvin for being the pioneer of that stupid idea.

We meet at 1:30 AM tomorrow. *sigh and says in a sarcastic way* Can't wait...

Anyway, Helena and I tried to go a step closer to my destiny. She drew my hand on pad paper with each finger of my left hand named after a guy close to me. She folded the paper into a small piece and again, she drew a small version of my left hand. I hafta let four people shade a mini finger each, then they hafta write a description (like who my prom date will be, etc.) next to the finger they shaded. On November 1, I will open it and I'll see who the shaded fingers correspond to. The guy whose name is represented by the unshaded finger will be my life-long partner.

Now, who do you think will that be? ^.^

As for now, I'll be preparing my things for tomorrow! Toodles! ^.^

...cOvEr gUrL bLoOd...

Hey! Guess what! My niece, Belle, from the States made cover girl of American Baby. (Yay! Goooo Belly!)

*Isn't she lovely? She may be our little white girl but she's still a Sumilang at heart! ^.^

*In case you still won't believe me... Here's a pic from their visit here last March! ^.^

Finally, our little angel has made it!

CONGRATULATIONS, BELLY! ^.^

Tita Chesca loves you always!

...OcToBeRfEsT!!

And I thought September was HELL MONTH.

I just realized that for the whole month, I'd be busy with quiz bees and all other extra-curriculars. *sigh* I definitely need a break!

Anyways, I was caught in a very weird situation earlier. I actually fell asleep at the middle of a lecture during the interschool journalism workshop. I originally covered my face with my brown envelope but when Monica woke me up, I had nothing covering my face! I was soooo sabog!! The first thing I asked was if I was sleeping with my mouth open. Fortunately, I wasn't.

Still, it was completely embarrassing, considering that almost all the school paper staffs from other schools saw me at my worst. Curse last night's gimmick. lol.

I could never EVER forget what happened earlier. It was so wa-poise! I could not imagine how messed up I looked then! lol.

Oh well, that's life. Expect more poise-less displays from me since I will again be totally busy this month.
