Back to basic.

Sometimes, we think that being all grown-up gives us the freedom to do everything we want. Most of the time, we forget about the simple yet useful things we have learned during the early years of our lives. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely okay to act an adult once in a while. It's just that sometimes, we have to go back to the basics--proper decorum, polite speech even if there's freedom of expression, the value of respect, and the simple joys of appreciation.

Do you still remember what Thumper's mom said? Oh yes, that's my most favorite lesson from a Disney movie. "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."

A guy friend of mine once told me I was too childish. And so I kept on annoying him. But at times when he'd have problems, he would count on me and he would ask why I thought different. I never really answered his question, but in my mind was this: "Sometimes people indulge in the feeling of superiority in relation to maturity in their ways of thinking. Most of the time, they believe complexity solves the problem. And most of the time, the simplest way is overlooked."

Ladies and gentlemen, age is just a number. I do not believe in acting one's age, but I do believe in maturity. Besides, there's a big difference between being childish and being childlike. And if you would dare describe me, I would be glad if you'd choose the latter. :)

Oh, and by the way, I also believe each of us has an inner child. Don't be afraid to unleash yours. Don't be in a hurry to grow up. If you stress on being too old, you might fast-forward to the future too, uhh, fastly. Cliche as it may sound, live life to the fullest. But trust me, it works!

And as for me, I guess there just are times I'd have to unleash my inner adult. Don't worry, I'm working on it! ;)
