UP life is a battlefield.

I can't believe I went through such a day. My legs are now numb of pain from all that walking. My dirty sneakers are now sleeping soundly in my shoe rack. I probably have turned half a shade darker again from all that walking under the sun. Still, this day in UP will be kept safe in my little treasure chest of memories.

The Search for Blockhead
Today was the Rookie Camp Mini-Fair. N11 has got to be the most uncooperative block if you ask me. Most of my blockmates didn't attend, and Rhea and I were late. We looked for our blockhead Ian as soon as I arrived and we ran into Ted. We spent probably ten to fifteen minutes looking for him until he texted us that they were at Beach House. So we braved the scorching heat of the midday sun and crossed to the other side of the Sunken Garden. We then found out that there wasn't any space for us already. So came Plan B.

The Trek to SC
We then decided to go to SC instead. Rhea, being the sun-o-phobic, suggested we walk under the shaded part. We were protected from the sun alright, but we weren't spared from the mud! Poor Frances and Chad were even wearing flipflops! Ack. My right sneaker nearly had a mud bath! Luckily, we found another way, which was a lot more forest-y but was a lot drier! Thanks to gentlemanly Ted for helping us too! Finally we reached more stable grounds. But we still weren't comfortable. We were hella hungry and sweaty. Good thing Papercup's second floor was airconditioned.

Walk-a-thon
It was actually my first time go to the Office of the University Registrar to have my ID pic taken. Everything I saw on the way was unfamiliar therefore I felt a bit scared. I walked alone going there and there was nothing more I wanted than to arrive as soon as possible. Fortunately, I arrived alive, unharmed, and still sane.

Cellphone Misadventure
I was using the brown leather backpack my mom gave me. (Actually, it was hers. I arbor-ed it!) It had waaay too many pockets but I always used a certain one to keep my cellphone in. Then came my turn for the ID pic. I put the unnecessary things inside a random pocket and went on to have my picture taken as I left the bag on a chair. When I got my ID card, I checked my things. Turns out my Globe cellphone was missing. I went back inside the office and asked everyone if they saw a pink cellphone. Almost everybody panicked. And guess what, as I explained the whole thing while checking each pocket carefully, I friggin found it in the pocket where I keep loose change. So much for excitement!

Perk of the Orient
The Psych Soc Orientation was fun. Okay, TIRING and fun. We had to have our sig sheets signed by members with their corresponding logos. But here's the sitch: You have to recite their basic info before them and the only way to know was to ask other members. Sometimes they would even point out a member located at the opposite side from where they were positioned, who they claimed were the most credible sources. So great. I still managed to survive. Oh, and there's still a lot more we have to do for the whole sem before we become official members of the UP Psychology Society. Good luck to Marianne, Sam, Mia, Ian, Edison, Ted, Chad, Rhea, Nel, and me. We can do it, guys! (We can even wear our high school uniforms together and strut around the campus!)

Staying in UP is a totally different experience for me. Each memory gets better as each experience makes me better. Believe me, I wouldn't trade in my UP life for any other experience at any other university!
