UPDATE.
Well, I have a real one but it's a Friends Only entry. Can't tell you much. As of now, I can only tell you that my PC in the apartment has crashed so I have to go a net cafe to update this blasted blog. I'll be going home on Sunday pa, which would make me miss 10976766 years on the Internet.
So much for addiction. ;)

Ah, to be young and wild and free.
This has to be one of the craziest days of my life. After hours of playing with the dogs, I turned on the computer and went online. A few seconds later, there was this little butiki that crawled a half-inch near me. "Oist, wag kang lalapit ha? Takot kasi ako sa butiki eh. Pero ang cute mo, in fairness," I said. And it hid itself somewhere.
After listening to a few songs by Dashboard, I decided to set the speakers to full blast and dance like crazy with my siblings to Ewan Ko (Soapdish). We had the bendable lamp in the Great Room as our spotlight as we ran to the center and just grooved. Gabo later turned on the Magic Sing mic and I later found myself singing Crazy For You a la Madonna and Close To You a la Karen Carpenter, both with matching kembot. ;)
Ah, to be young and wild and free.
After this Saturday's culminating activity (PsychSoc), my sem will be officially over.
And I look forward to more crazy days. ;)

Home at last.
Right now I'm in the very spot in the Great Room that I used to spend most of my time in with my eyes glued to the monitor and enjoying the click made by my fingers as I press each key. I was doing exactly the same thing during summer and our Halloween breaks last year. But this year, things are more complicated. There are still unreleased grades I'm agonizing about, Math 17 to pass, final rites for org applications, and the like.
Then again, it's still great to be in the place you've always loved and you're always longing for--HOME. Home is where the food tastes great because you have your whole family to share it with. Home is where the house seems smaller because there are lot of people to share it with. Home is where brownies just seem sweeter even if you can't have the whole box to yourself because the smiles your siblings give you as you offer them the last piece make up for it. Home is where an airconditioned room doesn't seem to matter as long as the little ones knock at your door in the middle of the night to ask if they could sleep beside you. Home is where the pillows are fluffier, the blankets are thicker, the bed is wider, the nightlights are more homey.
I'll be in Manila for a couple of activities though. Plus our German shepherd's participating in a dog show. But for the rest of the sembreak, I'll be staying here in Dagupan.
Really, living away from your family could be pretty tough. I have this idea that a person needs a certain amount of hugs per day and if that person doesn't reach that certain number, he or she runs the risk of being unhappy and feeling unloved. And you know, there are just some times you need someone to talk about depressing school matters and your parents just aren't around to give you that bear hug you badly need. And sometimes you miss the feeling of having to follow curfews, etc.
I missed home. We tried our best to make my room in the apartment more homey (we even had it painted pink and green) but nothing beats my lavender room back here. And nothing beats the yellow house with synthetic boulders, a lush garden, and a mini-kennel.
It's just so great to be home.

The Spoken Word Event turned out to be great even if it started an hour late and we had to stop for a while because it was raining too hard and we couldn't hear the performer.
Everybody did great. I was proud seeing the shy ones in class at their best. I also got a lot of fresh ideas from everyone's performance. But I loved Jun's and Jem's to death. Jun's was hilarious especially when he changed into Weatherboy. Jem's was also funny, because Jem was funny, with her impersonation of Ricky Reyes and Nikki Gil in one character. It was also very serendipituous since a street kid passed by and she got her got to participate in her performance which really did require a street kid. After Jem's performance, I gave the kids the chocolate I had used for my performance.
We had dinner at Dencio's Eastwood after that. It was also fun. It was actually the first time I hung out with college classmates. I had to leave early though since I had to commute home. Good thing Rina and Misha accompanied me to Katipunan. And as soon as I got home, I uploaded a lot of pics and Jem's video.
Too bad CW 10's for one sem only. :(
