On blog-leave.
Still waiting for DSL to be installed in the new apartment. So for now, I am to spend my summer nights listening to my new Vienne 1900 CD while I finish all those books I've splurged over.
Books, books, and more books. I'm going broke! Yet I'm still eyeing Haruki Murakami's Kafka on the Shore, Mark Haddon's The Talking Horse and the Sad Girl and the Village Under the Sea, and Wei Hui's Shanghai Baby. Good thing I decided to buy that P800+-book, Favorite African Folktales, translated by Nelson Mandela himself.
Books really are love.

I remember mentioning one time here in my blog that I wanted a copy of the 50 First Dates OST. And just last last week, Val gave me a CD. I wasn't able to listen to it since I was having my CPU fixed that time and we had to go back to Dagupan the next day. When last night I was finally able to listen to it, I was just close to tears when I browsed through each track!
"50 First Daaaaates!"
I love you, Mare! I just wish you could still find a way to go to my debut :(

Tanya's debut last weekend was... weird. Well, it was really fun being with HS batchmates after a long, long time. It was even exciting to have been allowed to go to Temple with them. But that whole bar experience was really, really weird.
Since I resisted every urge to drink (LENTEN SACRIFICE!), I decided to dance my blues away. But Alv didn't want me to dance. Nyarr. What in the world am I supposed to do in a bar aside from drinking and dancing? It was a total bummer, I tell you. I ended up drawing the centerpiece candle, my empty glass of iced tea, the crumpled pieces of paper in front of my glass, and Alvin's hand holding his beer.
But later on that evening I realized he was right. It had been almost seven years since I last set foot in a bar and I certainly did not know how to manage. Sure, he, Alkaids, and the rest of the boys were there but they didn't want any gulo to happen that night. Fine. Even Jester said he was right. Sige na nga.
Tanya's debut pics in my cam will be posted as soon as we can use our DSL na! If you were there at the party and you happen to have more pics, please send me the link to that album in your Multiply or whatever. Thanks! :)

I am jinxed for life with Math/Science profs. My Math100 prof this summer just can't give us the breakdown of how our grades will be computed, a decent, non-nosebleed-inducing lecture, and enough motivation to excel in the course. He's also got Meg occasionally doodling his face on my notebook.
Five weeks of torture.
Save me.

I dropped by the agency I wanted to transfer to already. The staff were really encouraging, I liked how Mama Tony welcomed me. :)
It's not so bad starting from scratch afer all. Now I know more or less what stuff to do and what to avoid. And I'm really glad that this time, the people are a whole lot friendlier and accommodating. Mama Tony also made me feel good about myself earlier.
Thanks for making this happen for me, Prish! :)

I found myself in a really mature text convo with my mom the other night. It felt great finally being able to realize my mistakes and accepting them, but it was also a big relief that my mom didn't overreact. For once in my life I finally wasn't treated as a kid but as a mature-slash-maturing individual.
I love you, Ma. :)

For the past few Internet-less days I've been quite productive. Life offline isn't so bad after all. ;)
