Makeover magic.
There's something about this afternoon that made me see makeovers in a different light.
If there was one thing scarier than the scariest rollercoaster ride I've been on, it would have to be cutting my hair in a way that's a far cry from the hairstyle I've had since 1st year high school. I conquered Space Shuttle (twice in a row, mind you), snorkeling, and rafting, but it was only this afternoon that I took the biggest, most dangerous risk ever.
Goodbye, one-length, ever-virgin hair.
I kept my eyes closed as I heard the scissors make its way through my hair. Snip, snip. I held my breath and pulled myself back. My thoughts went back just a few moments earlier when Borj was deciding how to redo my 'do. Sectioning. Hmmmm. "Chesca...", E-na called out in a worried tone. Her mane had been devirginized too, but she looked even more worried for me as she saw what the crew were about to do. "Uhmm, E-na, can you feel the tension?", I joked. I had to distract myself from looking like a nervous wreck.
And so one, two hours passed. Completely different, I thought as I looked myself in the mirror. And I soon got used to it. I actually began to appreciate everything about it, especially its... edginess.
Nothing like a new look to welcome my 18th year. ;)
