Volunteerism as nationalism and some OPM.
Watching RockEd's first anniversary concert after an exhausting round of sign-ups at the NGO Fair was definitely rewarding. I learned to appreciate OPM a lot more (since I've seen, err heard, too much of those mainstream bands). I definitely loved Cherry Cornflakes, Ang Bandang Shirley, Agaw Agimat, and of course, the phenomenal Sheila and the Insects. Man, SATI was the best band I've ever heard play live!
And although I'm not a fan of baller IDs, my white RockEd band that says "No more excuses, Philippines" will always put the period in my idea of a fashion statement.
I hope I do get into that storytelling project I signed up for! :)
Oh, and to Marielle, Meg, Clauds, Karen, and Joy, I had fun last night with you guys! 'Til the next RockEd concert-slash-NGO Fair! ;)
